what is a “green business”?
In general, “green businesses” sell goods & services that are better for the environment than traditional stores. Examples would include organic foods, free-range meats, recycled items (clothing, jewelry, books), and fair trade items. In addition, many of these businesses make an effort to operate in a more sustainable way by recycling their waste, practicing energy conservation, and in many other ways. Most of these businesses are locally owned.

One of the easiest ways to find a business is to use our search utility available at the top of each page. Simply search a key term regarding the business and your best results will be returned. By clicking on a result, you can view the business's complete profile as well as customer reviews regarding their service and enviromental interest. You should also consider leaving your own customer reviews for businesses you have personally used.
